Please describe the project specifications

Fabricate an 8 X 14' Enclosure to keep the owners comfortable while making offshore passages to the islands and back in the winter and comfortable during summers in the north.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Our client desired sun protection and the ability to stay out of the elements while making passage or at the mooring. Clarity was important so we used Makrolon UV on both the dodger and connector. O'Sea by O'Sullivan was used on the rest of the enclosure so the panels can be rolled up and to provide clarity and scratch resistance. Solarfix PTFE thread was used to hold it all together in the intense UV down south. SeaMark was used on the top panels of the bimini to provide waterproofness.

What is unique or complex about the project?

1 1/4" Stainless tubing, hidden zips and custom visor angles. The bimini overhangs the dodger and the connector is attached at the forward bow of the dodger to create pleasing aesthetics. Center door on each side of the enclosure and aft for easy access. Center window on dodger hinges up to the inside.

What were the results of the project?

Our client was extremely pleased with both the quality and the timeliness as we completed prior to the boat leaving for the islands
