Fabricate custom 3 sided rigid enclosure for 90' Bayliss/custom built yacht.


What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client was previous owner of many custom built sport fish yachts. He was looking for rigid enclosure that complemented his high end custom built sport fish. Customer wanted all zipper lines to follow radius pipe lines, zipper air vents in front panels, front center panel to have u-shaped design for easy opening.


What is unique or complex about the project?

This enclosure was extremely large for a sport fish 3 sided enclosure. It's total square footage was 220. We fabricated the top border on the front panels wider to acccomodate air vents while tapering the top border thru the corner panels to a narrower width on the side panels. The zipper lines were built with radius to follow the radius pipe lines. These details were followed to insure the enclosure to have clean profile look. Due to large size of the side panels a thicker Costa Clear acrylic sheet glass was used. This allowed the panels to hold shape while under extreme pressure.


What were the results of the project?

The Owner, Captain, Boat builder, were all extremely pleased with the design, fit, finish of the enclosure. The "Singularis" is a high profile sport fisher. After it's launch this summer it fished many fishing tournaments on the east coast. We received many complements from other sport fish crews on our enclosure.
