Please describe the project specifications

Working in concert with our client, his builder and designer we created this old school looking awning.
From rough concept to fabrication and installation, this project was completely done in house.
The galvanized steel frame of this canopy included stainless steel trim and Core-10 steel which we pre-rusted and attached with stainless decorative hardware.
We included Oyster graphics on the side and illuminated stencil cut lettering in front with backlit LED Illumination.
Inside the structure is a peaked Sunbrella awning to defuse the rain and provide protection.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client requested an Art Deco look for his Oyster bar style restaurant.
We agreed, it should have an upscale look and the feeling of something from 1935.
Some rough conceptual discussions led us to create 3d drawings in Sketchup and submitting to the client and his team.
They wanted some protection for their patrons but mostly a look that enhanced the appearance of the facade while attracting attention in an elegant way.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The uniqueness of this project is the mix of materials including a welded galvanized steel sub-frame including stencil cut aluminum side panels, stainless steel decorative brushed trim tubing and "Core-10" pre-rusted steel with decorative stainless fasteners.
The internal structure included a traditional peaked entrance canopy providing a functional great looking awning.

What were the results of the project?

Like any project, a happy client is the best accolades you can get.
Local press raved about the look and upgrade in this facade and the restaurant is a success.
We like to think that we had a hand in it's success and continue to get compliments on a project well done that is in harmony with it's exterior upscale distressed appearance.
