Please describe the project specifications

ShadeFLA designed and installed 3 adult-only cabanas and 7 multi-purpose cabanas in a joint effort with CCS Architecture. These 10x10 cabanas feature 50% recyclable Sunbrella Unity Ashe fabric with a fire retardant coating. The custom-made aluminum cabanas are also complete with a wood grain decoral coating.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The purpose of this project was to upgrade the entire outdoor area of the oceanfront hotel as part of a large-scale redesign project. The client wanted sleek, high-end cabanas that would allow guests to fully take advantage of the hotel's amenities while staying protected from the sun's harmful rays.

What is unique or complex about the project?

Apart from the ultra-contemporary design, this project is unique in its use of 50% recyclable Sunbrella Unity Ashe Fabric and wood grain decoral coating.

What were the results of the project?

The cabanas accomplished the goal of upgrading the outdoor area of The Loews Miami Beach Hotel just in time for the annual South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Celebrity chefs like Martha Stewart, Katie Lee and more got to see the first glimpse of the completed project. Now, guests can take full advantage of the hotel's amenities in the adult-only cabanas while the kids play ping pong in the multi-purpose cabanas.
