We fabricated a three piece removable EZ2CY enclosure, a Bimini Top with connector and cushions that can be folded and stowed away.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The clients wanted a removable enclosure and shade structure which could be folded back.

What is unique or complex about the project?

California style dodger with three piece removable EZ2CY enclosure, attaching to arch and deck with a track system. It includes a three bow Bimini with a 1.25” stainless steel frame in front of backstays, covering forward end of the cockpit. The Bimini has hard legs on aft bow and Gemini hinged side tensioning bars so it can be folded, allowing for sun bathing or star gazing from forward cockpit. There is a removable connector piece from back side of arch to front end of the Bimini.

There is a one bow Bimini extension covering helmsman’s area that zips to the aft end of forward Bimini. This one bow Bimini can remain up providing shade for the helmsman even when the forward cockpit Bimini is folded. This top also has Gemini hinging side tensioning bars which allow it to be folded as well.

The canvas is Sunbrella Ocean Blue, sewn with Lifetime thread. Zipper pockets are included so that all canvas can be easily removed.
