Please describe the project specifications

Fabricate Mezzanine, jump seat with a faux knee roll and all foam double wedged armrest caddy.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client had a wood fiddle on the mezzanine and wanted a extended knee roll over the fiddle.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The mezzanine seating area was small so customer wanted us to make a larger seating area which required us to extend it over the fiddle. The seats were on plastic but we had to compensate for the fiddle. We fabricated 3/4" spacers covered in non-skid, which were counter sunk from the bottom and plugged so that the screws didn't damage the wood. As a result we were able to add an additional 4" to the seating area. Behind the seat back is a shelf with a lid that opens and allows air conditioning to flow., which is why the back are short.

The armrest caddy is all foam with lead shot as a weight concealed inside the foam to keep it in place.

The jump seat is all foam and contains no plastic. It has a mesh bottom containing non-skid to help keep it in place.

What were the results of the project?

We were able to give the customer exactly what he envisioned.
