Please describe the project specifications

This project consists of (3) 8’-4” x 8’-4” custom Cabanas for Miami’s newest luxury apartment in the Midtown Miami area. They are installed on the 5th floor of the outdoor pool deck, adjacent to the pool.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The architect designed 3 modern pool-side cabanas to surround Midtown Miami 5’s zero entry pool on the 5th floor outdoor pool deck area. The design of the apartment building is stylish and luxurious, offering all the amenities that one can think of. They wanted to offer residents Chic Cabanas that they could use to relax and unwind in when they are by the pool.

What is unique or complex about the project?

Attention to detail and construction was necessary to fabricate and install these modern modular cabanas. The cabana frames were fabricated and lifted into place with a crane. Being located on the 5th story outdoor pool deck, the cabanas are engineered for high winds. Weathermax 80 fabric was used for the panels and roof and ship-laced on (3) sides and the top.

What were the results of the project?

The client is extremely pleased with their modern custom cabanas. They blend “elegance and edge” to complement the outdoor deck and pool area with their Chic architectural style. The cabanas offer poolside shade for residents and guests wanting to enjoy the outdoors, yet protect themselves from the sun. The cabanas are used throughout the week and extensively on the weekends when residents take advantage of leisure time.
