What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Studio 39 Landscape Architecture contacted Tension Structures for the design, build and engineering assistance for a tensioned stage canopy structure for shopping center plaza area at The Avenue at White Marsh in Baltimore, Maryland.


What is unique or complex about the project?

The tensioned fabric structure is designed to be potentially removed and stored during the winter season to make room for the outdoor plaza ice rink.


What were the results of the project?

The Tensioned Stage Canopy system was successfully design, fabricated and installed professionally, efficiently and within time. The Federal Realty Investment and Studio 39 were delighted the teams performed in tight plaza areas with total safety and cleanup responsibilities.
