A custom, three piece, ratchet strap travel cover for a 2017 Scout 225XSF.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Our client requested a custom fit travel cover for his new 2017 Scout 225XSF. He was not happy with other covers that were on the market and he wanted to make sure that his boat would be well protected from top to bottom while on the road. He did not want to have to clean bugs off of his brand new boat after every trip. He also requested that the cover be manufactured to be more easily handled as opposed to a large once piece cover, so we designed a three piece cover that met his specifications.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The three piece design and the #15 Lenzip zipper connecting the front and rear pieces are both unique design attributes to this project. This cover also has our welded main seams. The tall structure of the boat made aerodynamics a chief concern in creating a travel cover, so it was first laser measured with our Leica 3D Disto laser, then cut on our CNC plotter/cutter, and then hand tailored for the ultimate custom fit.
