Please describe the project specifications

We created a large dustproof room with forkhoist and pedestrian access, with a floor to ceiling structure for a machine producing food packaging. We used Clearglass PVC on top for light, and Diamond PVC around the bottom for strength. A security door provided pedestrian access and a channelled door provided forkhoist access, all done within two weeks, and finished in the week before Christmas.


What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Our customer wanted to build a structure inside his factory to block out dust from a packaging production machinery that he was using to produce packaging which needed to meet food packaging standards.
He needed full enclosure without blocking light, it needed to be hard wearing and with access for both fork hoists and pedestrians.


What is unique or complex about the project?

We needed to build a complete structure within a factory, from floor to ceiling to provide a dustproof room, working around machinery that was operating, in a short timeframe and a week before Christmas. We also had to work around corners and steel beams hanging from the ceiling. Luckily the factory was close to our factory, so we were able to complete the manufacturing of the panels in sections and run them up, a couple at a time, for the installers to continue installing onsite.
Due to the working height, the installers had to use scissor lifts.
We sourced a security door and covered it in Clearglass PVC which was installed for pedestrian access, and installed a channel style drop curtain for forkhoist access.


What were the results of the project?

The customer was able to receive his accreditation for production of food grade packaging after completion of our installation.
