Please describe the project specifications

This project consisted of seating for 18 people. There were 4 large bench seats; one 13’ feet long. We also upholstered 2 beverage tables to match the seating. The steering console area was also fully upholstered. The entire job was completed in three colors using high-grade marine vinyl fabric. New carpet was also installed using Infinity ‘Better Than Teak II’ marine carpet.


What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client does a great deal of entertaining on the boat during the boating season as one can imagine with a boat of this size! The client wanted something to catch the eye and classy enough to enhance the aesthetics of the boat. Being that this boat can hold up to 18 people at any time they needed something that was not only comfortable for their guests, but durable as well.


What is unique or complex about the project?

The most complex part of this project was getting the scalloped design so that all the pieces would match up seamlessly. There were many large pieces that had to fit together on each bench area. Since we also modified the flooring, the cockpit area was a challenge due to the amount of wiring and mechanical parts that had to be worked around. There were hours of mechanical work assembling the boat back together once all the pieces were reinstalled.


What were the results of the project?

The client was extremely pleased with the way the project turned out. According to his friend, he normally doesn’t show as much excitement as he did when he saw the results of our work! With the new carpet and upholstery, this boat looks brand new. Looking so good that his friends are requesting the boat to be the venue of their next event!
