Please describe the project specifications

Traditional style canopy measuring 33’ 6” x 14’ 10” projection. Roof mount system with 2 x 6 roof rafters on 2 ft centers, 2 x 2 x 4" aluminum tubing spacers required and painted white. Frame and substructure painted white and posts painted semi-black. Motorized curtain with cables installed on south end, white Awntex Mesh fabric.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The homeowner has a large backyard deck that needed shade. The canopy covers the entire deck and the motorized curtain shields the hot sun on the south side of the deck.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The canopy was designed and installed 12’ off their deck in order to keep an open-air view of the tennis courts and surrounding trees.

What were the results of the project?

The homeowner is very happy with the canopy and motorized curtain. She has enjoyed many hours of sitting outside on her shaded deck. The addition also aesthetically enhances the beauty of her backyard setting. Future sidewalls can be added for the winter months.
