What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The university constructed a new athletic field and wanted to provide shade over the seating area for spectators watching sporting events. They requested their school color red and the shape to resemble the “M” in their logo.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The shape of the structure is unique which was designed to represent their school color and logo. The fabric for the structure was all in one piece, and the size of the overhead support made it challenging to fabricate and install. The time-frame was tight and needed to be completed by their homecoming date.

What were the results of the project?

The client was very pleased to have this large shaded structure addition to their athletic field which keeps their visitors comfortable and protected from the weather elements.
