The Allegis Fountainhead shade structure is a dynamic, functional installation of four columns and two layered shade sails that provide roughly 563 square feet of shade.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

This project was designed to meet the client’s request to provide shade over an outdoor break/seating area adjacent to a commercial office building.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The design of the base structure is simple, but the addition of a second shade sail layered beneath the first adds a burst of contrast and color to the dynamic form of the shade sails.

What were the results of the project?

The shade structure provides effective shade over the outdoor break area below, and adds an appealing visual feature to the surrounding commercial park environment.
