This project was an installation of four wall brackets and a single shade sail, providing 1,531 square feet of shade.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The Orange Grove Middle School campus is host to a variety of classroom and facility buildings separated by outdoor corridors and pathways. The school requested that a shade sail be installed between the cafeteria and library buildings, providing much needed shade for students during lunch periods and teacher breaks.

What is unique or complex about the project?

To add some school spirit to the installation, a complex graphic for the school’s football team, the Panthers, was sewn in with black shade cloth to the bright orange sail.

What were the results of the project?

The shade sail provides functional shade between the middle school’s library and cafeteria buildings, while embracing the school spirit with a splash of bright team colors to the campus.
