Please describe the project specifications

"We were tasked with designing maximum Shade for the clients outdoor new decking and entertaining area.

The design needed to compliment the recently renovated home that it would be incorporated into and also be able to be left permanently erected."

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

"The clients criteria was to create a unique outdoor area that made an impact the existing structure and surroundings
Give full shade to the majority of the main deck living area.
Be able to tolerate high winds as it will be left erected all year round.
Square posting.
Sails that were not flat and panted in the wind.
Maximum coverage within council regulations"

What is unique or complex about the project?

"The Hyperbolic design incorporated the use of 4 x galvanised square steel posts and the existing structure.
Differences in height for the hyperbolic design were incorporated by using the posting and the levels of the structure and decking.
Monotec shade cloth, stainless wire edging and heavy gage tensioners were used for high tension loads.
Services in the ground were pre marked and posting and design worked around these."

What were the results of the project?

"The finished design created a unique outdoor area that gave maximum shade protection to the new decking area.
The hyperbolic design of the sails made a beautiful impact on the area and surroundings .
The hyper design, chosen shadecloth, finishing detail along with the heavy gage posting made the sails extremely strong and taught for weather protection.
Full coverage was achieved within size regulations and an open but shaded feeling was retained throughout the area.

Overall the client is extremely happy with their investment and the extra space they have to their home now."
